Vegetal,velvet, pastoral, looping, half-formed, in process yet stable. A formal feeling (I’m thinking of Emily Dickinson’s poem). Perhaps she wrote it on the cessation of “great pain” (which was not the case with me), and I imagine her looking out the window at a dark garden…
