Okir: Analog 9-9-2013

Field 1_JVengua_9-9-2013
“Field 1″ (Elkhorn). 14 x 16” acrylics.

I’ve been taking a little break from haptics. This is a painting of the field in front of my house, more or less (I enjoy landscapes that are as much mental as physical). I live near a large slough by the ocean, and our weather tends to be foggy and damp, especially in late summer. In front of the house is a lone sycamore, frequented by hawks in the day, and owls at night. On the sides of the field are very old oaks, and a grove of eucalyptus.
